“No greater benefit can be bestowed upon a long benighted
people,
than giving to them the means of an education.”
–Frederick Douglass
PLEASE NOTE: HAP applications for 2008 are now available.
Young men who attend Chicago Jesuit Academy will be the next generation
of leaders in the City of Chicago. Alumni from our brother
schools have pursued careers as teachers, ministers, artists,
lawyers, doctors and businessmen. At Chicago Jesuit Academy, we
expect all of our students — like all Nativity students —
to do great things with the gifts God has entrusted to them.
Young men who wish to apply for admission to Chicago Jesuit Academy
must be willing to work hard. Most importantly, they and
their parents must recognize that the Academy will ask them
to make substantial contributions of their time during their
four years with the Academy.
To be considered for admission to Chicago Jesuit Academy,
a young man must be:
• eligible for the free- or reduced-lunch meal program
• supported in his desire to succeed at Chicago Jesuit
Academy by a family member
• entering the 5th grade in fall 2008 after successful completion
of the 4th grade
Applications for the 2008 HAP summer program, which is the first step toward earning admission to the fifth grade, are now available. Please click here to download an application. Parents of young men who will be entering the fifth grade in the fall of 2008 are welcome to apply. Completed applications will be considered on a first come, first serve basis. If you are unable to download an application or have any further admissions questions, please contact Ms. Lauren Hogel, the director of the fifth-grade year of studies.
Completed applications should be returned to:

been underserved by their neighborhood schools. Young men currently
enrolled in a Catholic or other private elementary school
will only be considered for admission to the Academy at
the request of the leadership of their current school. Chicago
Jesuit Academy admits students of any race, color, and national
or ethnic origin.
