“No greater benefit can be bestowed upon a long benighted
people,
than giving to them the means of an education.”
–Frederick Douglass
Young men who attend Chicago Jesuit Academy will be the next generation
of leaders in the City of Chicago. Alumni from our brother
schools have pursued careers as teachers, ministers, artists,
lawyers, doctors and businessmen. At Chicago Jesuit Academy, we
expect all of our students — like all Nativity students —
to do great things with the gifts God has entrusted to them.
Young men who wish to apply for admission to Chicago Jesuit Academy
must be willing to work hard. Most importantly, they and
their parents must recognize that the Academy will ask them
to make substantial contributions of their time during their
four years with the Academy.
To be considered for admission to Chicago Jesuit Academy,
a young man must be:
• eligible for the free- or reduced-lunch meal program
• supported in his desire to succeed at Chicago Jesuit
Academy by a family member
• entering the 5th grade in fall 2011 after successful completion
of the 4th grade
All applicants: Please use the 2012 Higher Achievement Program Application to apply to the Academy.
PLEASE
NOTE: Chicago Jesuit Academy serves young men who have
been underserved by their neighborhood schools. Young men currently
enrolled in a Catholic or other private elementary school
will only be considered for admission to the Academy at
the request of the leadership of their current school. Chicago
Jesuit Academy admits students of any race, color, and national
or ethnic origin.
